The yellow, star shaped blossoms of the Winter Aconite, which are also known as Wolf's Bane, flourish in the early spring. They prefer shady places, like under trees or bushes. They propagate by bulbs or seeds. The mature seeds are expelled from the diagonally striped follicles. The seeds are distributed by ants.
