The Christmas cactus belongs to the plant family of the cactus. It is native in the coastal mountains of south-eastern Brazil. It received its name due to the fact that it blooms around Christmas. The different types of Christmas cacti have different habitats. So are those who grow in the crotches of trees, others on rocks or stones.
